The student jumps out of the aircraft attached to the instructor reaching over 120 mph in freefall.

After the parachute deployment, the student takes control of the canopy, being supervised by the instructor throughout the flight until landing.

Accelerated Freefall (AFF)

The AFF is the fastest progression method certified by USPA to become a solo skydiver.

After an extensive ground training, including full gear operation and emergency procedures, the student performs the minimum of 8 skydives supervised by the instructor throughout the freefall and assisted by radio during the parachute flight.

The student should learn and demonstrate the basic skills required on each level to achieve the SOLO JUMPER status.
